Japan has much to offer. Many people are interested in Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Osaka for starters. These are wonderful places and somewhat easy for foreigners to explore given the language barrier. This is my second home. Here are some snippets of a few popular and not so popular aspects of Japan.
I have travelled from north to south and some of these pictures give a peek into the beauty that is the scenery here.
Visit the Hiroshima Memorial Museum and gain a deeper understanding of that dark time in its history.
Kyoto is perfect to soak up much of Japanese rich cultural heritage and get some great pictures and it never disappoints. Have your camera ready (with lots of space on your SD card), wear comfortable shoes and prepare to be wowed again and again.
Castles, Sakura and other Scenery in Japan
Yamanakako, a lake with Mt. Fuji rising above it is a great place to visit especially in spring.
This is pretty cool and worth having a look at. You can jump on a local train from Osaka and get here in less than an hour.
Onsens/hotsprings are rather soothing and worth experiencing. Prepare to be naked with everybody else.
Nice powdery snow…
Cherry blossoms will soon be blooming everywhere here.
You can see these everywhere, at the front of shops, people’s homes and so on.They have an interesting place in Japanese culture.
