Life abroad comes with its pros and cons. I love my life in Tokyo because I have a great support group from my church which provide a well needed balance. We truly fellowship and encourage each other.
So you want to go visit that place on your list but none of your friends want to go or they can’t afford to go or they are just not interested. Take the plunge and go it alone, solo travel can be sweet and offers loads of advantages. Preparation is key! YOLO!
If you are in Japan or going to be in Japan in early February it would be great to book a flight and go up to Sapporo in Hokkaido and enjoy the sculptures at the Yuki Matsuri/snow festival and get in a bit of skiing or snowboarding or just enjoying a real nice hot spring.
